Passport
The applicant's passport must:
- Be valid for at least six months upon arrival
- Have at least two blank facing visa pages
- Be free of covers
Proof of Residency
A copy of both sides of the applicant's ID card
Photograph
You must provide a photograph. Upload your photo and we will print it to the exact specifications required for this visa. Follow https://cibtvisas.be/photo-service to upload your photo.
Alternatively, you may provide two colour, passport type photographs that meet the following strict criteria: be taken within the last three months against a white background and printed on high quality photo paper; be 35mm by 45mm in size; provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression. You may wear no headwear except for religious purposes. Your photographs should not be affixed to your application and may not display evidence of adhesive or staples.
Letter of Introduction
You must provide a Letter of Introduction from the applicant's Belgian employer. Be certain your letter meets the specific requirements of the consulate by using our Digital Introduction Letter service. Visit https://cibtvisas.be/bcl-order to get started.
Alternatively, please use the sample Letter of Introduction provided here and use the exact language and format provided in order to prevent a rejection and possible delays with your visa request.
All Letters of Introduction must be addressed to the Embassy. The address of the Embassy can be found hereLetter of Invitation
A letter of invitation from the company to be visited. This letter must:
- Be on company letterhead paper
- Include the name of the applicant
- Include the passport details of the applicant
- Specify the purpose of journey
- Specify the requested number of entries and the length of visa required
- State the location of the visiting company
- Be stamped and signed
- Mention that the host accepts full responsibility on behalf of the visitor
The inviting party must add supplementary documents. All the following documents should be submitted:
- Copy of the information page of the passport of the invitor
- Copy of the residency permit of the invitor, if he is not a national of the country of destination
Proof of registered company
A copy of the inviting company's certificate of incorporation is required. This requirement is not necessary if the applicant will visit a governmental organisation
Proof of Travel Arrangements
The following documents must be provided:A copy of the hotel confirmation
andA copy of flight confirmation. This must:
- Show onward/return travel
- Indicate the name of the traveller
- Indicate the price of the flight ticket
Yellow Fever Certificate
A copy of the applicant's yellow fever certificate booklet.
Online Application Procedure
Applicants must complete the online registration and application form on https://portal.immigration.gov.ng/visa/freshVisa before the visa application can be submitted at the Embassy. The online registration and visa fees depend on the type of visa applied for, the nationality of the applicant and the current exchange rate of the USD. The fees can be found by clicking here Both registration and visa fees must be paid online by credit card only.
Provide ID-number and Reference
If you do the online registration and payment yourself, you will receive an ID Number and a Reference. If this is your first journey to Nigeria, then you must personally submit your visa application with the Embassy of Nigeria. If you have been to Nigeria before, you must provide proof by supplying an old (no more than 1 year), used, visa for Nigeria, then we may apply on your behalf. Applicants who are not able to supply an old visa or who have an old visa issued more than 1 year ago, need to apply in person.
