The best time to apply for your visa is 1-2 months before your travel date. Do I have to send you my passport to get a Azerbaijan visa? Is it safe to send a passport?
Yes. You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Azerbaijan visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa request cannot be processed without your original passport. Because of the importance of your passport, we strongly suggest that you send your application by a secure method, such as a guaranteed postal service or courier.

Passport
The applicant's passport. The passport must:
Be valid three months beyond the expiry date of the visa
Have at least two blank facing visa pages
Be free of covers
Proof of Residency
Proof that you live in Belgium or Luxembourg, this must be provided as:
A of a copy of both sides of the applicant's ID card.
or
A copy of the applicant's residence permit
Photographs
You must provide two colour, passport type photographs that meet the following criteria:
Be taken within the last three months and printed on high quality photo paper
Be taken against an all white background
Be 35 mm by 45mm in size
Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
You may wear no headwear except for religious purposes
Your photos should not be affixed to your application and they may not display evidence of adhesive or staples
Proof of Travel Arrangements
The following documents must be provided:
A copy of the flight itinerary ore-ticket
A hotel confirmation. The confirmation has to be signed and stamped by hotel management. Unofficial correspondence (such as e-mails) will not be accepted.
Letter of Introduction
You must provide a Letter of Introduction from the applicant's Belgian employer. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays a Belgian postal address. Use the sample Letter of Introduction, which can be found here, to complete your letter.
All Letters of Introduction must be addressed to the Embassy. The address of the Embassy can be found here
Letter of Invitation
A letter of invitation from the applicant's host. This letter must:
Include the full address and contact details of the host
Specify the purpose and duration of stay
Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
Be signed by the applicant's host
Attention! The invitation for double or multiple entry visas needs to be sent directly to the consulate by the inviting party

A clear copy of the information page of the passport of the applicant.
Medical Form

must provide a medical certificate stating that they are not infected by
