Do I have to send you my passport to get a Angola visa? Is it safe to send a passport?
Yes. You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Angola visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa request cannot be processed without your original passport. Because of the importance of your passport, we strongly suggest that you send your application by a secure method, such as a guaranteed postal service or courier.

  1. Visa Conditions

    Applicants are restricted to three visas issued per annum only.  Applicants requiring to visit Angola more than three times in one year are obliged to apply for a work visa with a validity of one year.

  2. Passport

    The applicant's passport must:

    • Be valid for one year beyond entry date
    • Have at least two blank facing visa pages
    • Be free of covers

  3. Proof of Residency

    A copy of both sides of the residence permit in Belgium

  4. Photographs

    You must provide two colour, passport type photographs that meet the following criteria:

    • Be taken within the last three months and printed on high quality photo paper
    • Be taken against an all white background
    • Be 35 mm by 45mm in size
    • Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
    • You may wear no headwear except for religious purposes
    • Your photos should not be affixed to your application and they may not display evidence of adhesive or staples

  5. Letter of Introduction

    You must provide a Letter of Introduction from the applicant's Belgian employer. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays a Belgian postal address. Use the sample Letter of Introduction, which can be found here, to complete your letter.

  6. Letter of Invitation

    A letter of invitation from the company to be visited. This letter must:

    • Be on company letterhead paper
    • Include the name of the applicant
    • Include the passport details of the applicant
    • Specify the purpose of journey
    • Specify the requested number of entries and the length of visa required
    • State the location of the visiting company
    • Be stamped and signed
    • Be addressed to the consulate in Brussels
    • Include an acceptance of financial responsibility for the applicant
    • Include a copy of the inviting party's ID card
    • Be legalised by the local authority in the country of destination
    • Be legalised by the local authority in the country of destination

  7. Proof of Travel Arrangements

    A copy of the flight itinerary or e-ticket as issued by the travel provider

  8. Yellow Fever Certificate

    An original and a copy of the applicant's yellow fever certificate

  9. Repeat Visitors

    A copy of your old used visa for Angola, if you have been to Angola before.

  10. Visa Application Form

    One fully completed and signed application form. The form must:

    • Be completed with black ink
    • Be completed in capitals
